While on the subject of Helmut Newton in Amsterdam, you can look forward to the upcoming exhibition in the Kunsthal Rotterdam from one of the worlds most influential fashion photographers of our time. German born Peter Lindbergh has been on top of his game since the seventies. The exhibition, “A different vision of fashion photography” takes us through his creative development throughout the years. Best known for his dramatic black and white portraits with little or no clothing and minimal make up. Pure, natural and timeless photos revealing the true natural beauty of his subjects. In the “Rotterdam Gallery” there will be a special installation of photographs of Dutch super model, Lara Stone which was shot for the October issue of the Dutch Vogue this fall. Not only was Lindbergh a pioneer for fashion photography, it was he who sparked the inspiration for George Michaels “Freedom” video. The iconic photos of models Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Linda Evangelista and Claudia Schiffer graced any pages of Vogue and that was the beginning of the Supermodel movement. The exhibition runs from September 10, 2016 until February 12, 2017.
